About Me
- Name: Arty
- Location: Etchingham, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I grew up in Kenya until I was 18. In 1973 I went to art school at the West Surrey College of Art and Design (WSCAD) in Farnham Surrey and graduated in 1977 having studied Fine Art Painting. In the past I have had work exhibited several times at the Whitechapel Open in East London, at the New Grafton Gallery, the Ashgate Gallery in Farnham, the Ashbarn in Petersfield and the Ogle Gallery in Cheltenham. I consider my work is fairly intimate and painted for a domestic setting. I am happy to take commissions, including portraits. Serious enquiries about my work might like to contact me at Eganahpro (at symbol)yahoo.co.uk

Simple, serene, and beautiful. I really like the texture on the table.
Thanks you two. This series are all jars and bottles we found in the local river-the river cut through a victorian dump and all these beautifulk bottles and jars emerged-many of them broken but a few were intact. I also founs an old ceramic square box lid decorated with a pumpkin design-much tesselated with cracks but a lovely object.
How fascinating! I think I would be there everyday trying to find things.
Me too. There is a great old dump at East Tilbury we used to make trips to when we lived in Essex and the Thams had eaten away the bank to reveal tons of old ceramics and glass objects. i found lots of ceramic dolls heads, marbles, and those pop bottles with marbles in the neck to keep the pop fizzy. I kept a few in a miniature welsh dresser that Hazel now has in her workshop. I will have to take a photo of it.
I love looking for stuff. I found a tiny ceramic dolls head here in our garden a couple of summers ago and I often wonder what little girl owned it.
